What moment or events lead you to your arts / creative outlets?
Chace: “The discovery of Run-DMC , and Beat Street lead me becoming an emcee.”
Aariona: “Honestly my parents seperation, I got to experience life in two completely different ways and it caused me to gain a lot of experience and insight in the world.”
If you could tell yourself a secret at the very beginning of your journey, what would it be?
Chace: “Remember that Patience is the key to enduring any artistic journey.”
Aariona: “ ^ that part”
Chace, what was it like raising a creative daughter?
What was the most influential message she passed up to you?
Chace: “It is amazing raising a creative daughter , the most influential message she passed up to me was you are never too old to learn a new process. Her photography journey inspiring to witness”
Aariona, what was it like growing up with a creative Dad?
What was the most influential message he passed down to you?
Aariona: “It’s really just been lit. I’m super blessed to have such an amazing man as my father and I could never thank him enough for the opportunities he has been able to give me. The most influential message he has passed down is that hard work gets you anywhere— he’s a living testimony.”
What are you both most proud of each other for?
Chace: “I’m most proud of her for being a well-balanced person, and for having the courage to pursue her passion”
Aariona: “I’m proud of him for handling hard situations with grace. As a family we’ve dealt with a lot of loss and heartbreak, as anyone has, but I’ve never seen it slow him down or deter him from his end goal.”
What gets you out of bed in the morning and how do you decide your outfit?
Chace: “Insomnia gets me out of bed most of the time , and I pick my outfit according to my mood.”
Aariona: “It’s really hard especially in the winter, shower and music usually do the trick lol. I really just be throwing on whatever and it somehow always works”
What's your favorite item in your closet and how do you feel when wearing it?
Chace: “My favorite item in my closet is probably an old RRL denim shirt”
Aariona: “I have these SWAT loafers that have been in rotation for months, they’re super comfy and they go with everything. I feel myself “
Has music influenced your style over the years? If so, how?
Chace: “Music has influenced my entire life , my style has always been reflective of my taste in music.”
Aariona: “Music has influenced me in a lot of ways but not particularly my style. I think that’s one of the best things about me. I could be wearing a pink dress but listening to Yeat in my headphones. Or a black leather jacket and listening to Ari Lennox. It really just depends”
